Painting a Friend

If you run out of gift ideas and you know a friend who won't feel odd if you paint them (not the case here, my g/f was too modest to want a picture of herself...it was an odd gift in retrospect), you can print a picture of them in a light grey-scale and paint the shading it in contrasting and unique colors. Maybe just do this for someone who already has pictures of themselves around their house and make note if they don't have any photographs. Or you could paint a pet in bold colors and frame it.
